Job Responsibilities Kallebäcks Housing is part of the Housing and Homelessness Department, Southwest Social Administration. At Kallebäcks Housing, we work with support and care services for individuals over 50 years old with extensive support needs combined with substance use disorder and mental health challenges. The housing facility has no sobriety requirement. The goal is for residents to achieve long-term housing and reduce the negative consequences of harmful substance use to improve quality of life. You will daily encounter individuals with challenging behaviors, so it is important that you feel comfortable being there for them. As one of our fantastic support educators is moving on to new challenges, we are now seeking a support educator. As a support educator, you will be organizationally positioned under the unit manager and have a pedagogical and coordinating function for floor planning, documentation, follow-up, and method supervision. You will lead and distribute daily work and contribute to the development of the operation. As a support educator, you are a role model for staff, consisting of nursing assistants and support assistants, in pedagogical work. Your primary task is to teach and convey knowledge and working methods based on evidence-based methods to create independence in work groups. You will closely collaborate with your support educator colleague on the floor, other support educators, and various actors within the unit. You will be a guarantor of the unit's quality and development work by methodically guiding care personnel in matters of approach, method, and social documentation. Through influence, engagement, and learning, you will create an efficient, high-quality operation. As part of ensuring the operation's quality work, you are responsible for developing method work, follow-up, and maintaining a holistic view of the operation. The work group consists of employees with diverse experiences, where our differences are our strength. Working hours are during the day, Monday-Friday. We apply flexible employment. Qualifications A fundamental requirement is a post-secondary education as a support educator or social pedagogue, or alternatively another post-secondary education (university/vocational education) that the employer deems equivalent. You also need experience working with harmful substance use, mental health issues, or comorbidity. We also seek someone with knowledge and experience working with evidence-based methods like Lab, Mi, ESL. A B driver's license is not required but is considered meritorious. Previous experience leading others in daily work is also meritorious. You can adapt how you work when things change. You can quickly adjust your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes. You are motivated by clearly defined goals and can transform these into concrete actions. Focusing on the goal, you can reprioritize work under changing circumstances or needs. You follow up and report results and goal achievement. You are comfortable in social situations. You stand by decisions made and can communicate uncomfortable messages when necessary. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible. You are clear, gain traction for thoughts and ideas, and can influence decisions in a certain direction.
