Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care for those in need in our community. Our work encompasses elderly care, home care, support for disabilities, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
The Support for Disabilities and Social Psychiatry department is one of three divisions within the Social Care Administration. The department is responsible for LSS housing, daily activities, residential support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. We are around 250 employees who passionately focus on the individual’s needs while believing in their capabilities. We aim for our operations to have high competence and quality.
Within the department, we work towards collaboration between workplaces and professional development for our employees. We collaborate in workgroups where we help meet the needs in our operations and share knowledge and ideas between workplaces. This means that as a future employee, you will have a regular workplace where you work the majority of your shifts, with some shifts potentially taking place at another location.
We are now seeking support assistants for Fridhems Service Housing. Fridhems Service Housing has apartments distributed within the Fridhems area in central Ystad and works with target groups 1 and 3. We are looking for someone who has the desire and drive to do good and make a difference for our clients.

TASKS
Your responsibilities will include providing pedagogical and practical support in daily living, care, medication management as delegated, and social documentation. Your role is to support our clients who have complex and unique needs for safety, clarity, and care.
You are expected to work based on low-affect responses and clarifying pedagogy, where it is crucial to strengthen each individual's belief in their own abilities. Working with support and service interventions for individuals with disabilities is a broad, varied, inspiring, and challenging job. The interventions must be carried out with respect for each client's needs, wishes, dignity, participation, and self-determination. Support and services should be provided on an individual basis and adapted for each person so they can live like others with a good quality of life and living conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS

You are flexible in your approach and enjoy working in a changing environment. We see that you are interested in development issues, have the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practice, and take responsibility for your own learning. To be qualified for the position, you must have:
• Completed documented education from the Child and Leisure Program, Nursing Program, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• You should have good computer skills and find it exciting to work with digital tools. Since communication and documentation are central and important aspects of the operation, the job requires strong proficiency in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.
• At least one year of work experience within LSS.
The following are meritorious:
• Knowledge and experience in LSS.
• Experience in social psychiatry.
• Experience and/or theoretical knowledge about low-affect responses.
• Experience and/or theoretical knowledge regarding clarifying pedagogy.
• B driver's license.
