About this role

**Job Responsibilities** Oxholmsgatan is a newly established operation that started on September 1, 2025, located centrally at Torslanda Torg. We are now looking for someone who wants to help shape the operation with us to provide the best possible support for the youth living here. Oxholmsgatan focuses on the autism spectrum, intellectual disabilities, and/or other neuropsychiatric diagnoses. The accommodation is designed for children or adolescents who need a smaller context with a calm environment to function well. Your main role as a support assistant is to offer individualized educational support that contributes to a meaningful, independent, and developing life in accordance with LSS (the Swedish Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). You will provide tailored support to the child in daily activities, ranging from personal care and household tasks to accompanying them on outings and activities. Communication and cognitive support are central to our approach, and we utilize proven educational methods such as clarity pedagogy, low-arousal responses, and alternative and augmentative communication to create understanding and predictability. Working with a low-arousal approach means we take responsibility for the situation by reflecting on what has happened and what may have contributed to it, in order to collaboratively find solutions moving forward. We want the residents at Oxholmsgatan to experience a sense of success in every interaction with us. Under the leadership of the unit manager and support pedagogues, you will collaborate with colleagues and the child's network to develop methods, routines, and structures that enhance individual participation. At Oxholmsgatan, you will be part of a team with support assistants and pedagogues where good collaboration and open communication contribute to providing each individual with the best possible support. You will work day, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends according to a schedule. **Qualifications** We are looking for candidates who have a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities comprising at least 200 vocational points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working in support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in social sciences, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) nursing or other training deemed equivalent by the employer. It is a prerequisite that applicants have previous experience working with clarity pedagogy, LAB (low-arousal approach), and various forms of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). You should also have prior experience working with challenging behavior. Basic IT skills are required, and it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit. It is an advantage if you hold a B driver’s license as well as previous experience working with children with disabilities. We are looking for someone who is pleasant and helpful towards others, even in stressful situations. You show respect to everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You work to ensure that the student/client/user receives what they need. We also expect you to bring new ideas and perspectives to the job and to problem-solve. You are curious and encourage dialogue and questions, and you can see more than one possible solution. Your creativity can be put into practice and lead to results. At the same time, you remain calm and confident in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. **Other** Selection and interviews will commence during the application period. In this recruitment process, you will be asked to answer a number of questions where you describe your knowledge in the area instead of submitting a personal letter.
