About this role

**Job Responsibilities** Would you like to contribute to the further development of a new supported housing project? In November 2024, we opened a housing facility with special services (BmSS) at Guldkällegatan 54 in Majorna – a home with eight apartments for individuals with intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric disorders. We are now looking for a dedicated support assistant who wants to help continue developing the organization with us! The facility has been operational for nearly a year and is currently in an exciting phase where we continue to shape methods, create stability, and further develop structures, routines, and security for our tenants. Here, you will have the opportunity to be involved and make an impact – both in the daily work and in how the organization evolves going forward. **About the Role** As a support assistant, you work closely with the tenants and support them in leading an independent and meaningful life – both at home and in the community. You provide educational support in daily activities, personal care, and practical tasks such as cooking and laundry. We place great emphasis on building sustainable and secure relationships, motivating social contacts and meaningful leisure activities, as well as creating conditions for personal development. You will work in a supportive and engaged team consisting of support assistants, support pedagogues, and a unit manager. Together, you create a safe, inclusive, and development-focused environment. You will participate in the establishment of implementation plans and contribute to clear routines and structures in daily life. Since solitary work may occur, it is important that you feel confident in your professional role and in your interactions with our tenants. **Working Methods and Hours** The work includes social documentation and delegated health care tasks. We work based on LAB, ESL, AAC, MI, and structured pedagogy – methods that create structure, participation, and understanding. The facility is staffed around the clock, and work hours vary between day, evening, and every other weekend, based on the tenants' needs. **Qualifications** We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Social Care program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities comprising at least 200 YH points, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof equating to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience in providing support and services to individuals with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You must have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the language requirements, you may be asked to take a language test. A requirement for the position is also that you have knowledge and work experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric disorders. Experience in writing implementation plans and compiling daily logs, as well as knowledge of the methods LAB, AAC, ESL, and MI, is considered an advantage. You are pleasant, helpful, and show respect in your interactions, even in stressful situations. You are flexible and see opportunities in change. With sensitivity and care, you understand others' needs and adapt your approach. You are pedagogical and convey knowledge in a way that encourages dialogue and participation. **Additional Information** Selection and interviews may begin during the application period. In this recruitment process, you will be asked to answer a number of questions where you describe your knowledge in the field instead of submitting a personal letter. The City of Gothenburg actively works to promote equal rights and opportunities and to counteract discrimination.
