About this role
Stenungsund, a thriving community with a belief in the future and development centered around people and nature.
Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 residents, a strong business environment, residential areas close to the sea, and good transportation links. The municipality boasts a well-developed cultural and community life, as well as excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and recreation. Holistic approaches, openness, participation, and transparency are the municipality’s guiding principles.
The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 residents by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region's municipal association, which serves as a forum for collaboration and experience exchange, as well as several other inter-municipal partnerships.
The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four areas of operation: special accommodation/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and services for people with disabilities.
Within the area of disabilities, actions are implemented according to the LSS (Act concerning support and service for certain disabled persons) and the Social Services Act (SoL), aimed at individuals with various disabilities. The services are designed to empower individuals to actively participate in society and live under safe conditions, with respect for self-determination and integrity. Group homes/supportive housing, daily activities, short-term accommodation, and various respite care options are some of the support functions provided. All entities in the chain contribute to qualitative and secure support for persons with disabilities.
