About this role

**About the Job** Idrottsplatsen is a daily activity program for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. In our organization, training, sports, and outdoor activities are at the core of what we do. Participants engage in both individual and group training. Here, they can learn about nutrition and exercise science, collaborate with local sports clubs, as well as take on roles as event staff and volunteers during sports competitions. As a support assistant at Idrottsplatsen, you will have the opportunity to combine a role within the LSS framework with creative work in sports. Your responsibility as a support assistant is to support our participants in their activities, ensuring they have a meaningful day. They will have a safe environment during their daily activities, with opportunities to live as others do. Your tasks will be tailored to the participants and their needs, and you should have the ability to guide and support them in their activities, both individually and/or in groups. As a support assistant, you will work alongside other support assistants, support pedagogues, and the unit manager. Together, we prioritize the participants and work to ensure their involvement in activities based on their resources, interests, and needs. You will serve as the contact person for one or more participants within the unit. This means you are responsible for establishing and following up on implementation plans with goals for participants’ engagement, work plans, routines, manuals, and documentation in Treserva. Your working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. If the need arises, you may help out at other units. **About You** We are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Social Services program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also fulfilled if you have a post-secondary specialization within the disability field that includes at least 200 vocational training points, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time study. Alternatively, you may have 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for individuals with disabilities. Your education should have relevant credits in social sciences, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other training that the employer deems equivalent. Excellent command of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required; you must have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered a language test through the testing provider Educateit. You should have documented education and/or experience in sports. We consider it an asset if you have experience with social documentation and have a good understanding of the system Treserva. Experience in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), or other methodologies deemed relevant by the employer is also advantageous. As a support assistant with us, we expect you to be friendly and helpful towards others, even in stressful situations. You show respect for everyone you encounter at work and strive to ensure that the student/client/user receives what they need. You are attentive and open to understanding the needs, feelings, and opinions of others. You are receptive to what others say or express and demonstrate respect, consideration, and care in your interactions. You view setbacks as opportunities to learn. We also recognize that you have a good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt your communication style to suit the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. **Other Information** Selection and interviews will begin during the application period. In this recruitment process, you will be asked to answer several questions to describe your knowledge in the field instead of submitting a personal letter.
