Housing with Special Services is an adapted form of housing for adults with disabilities who need support in daily life. There are two forms of housing with special services: group housing and service housing. The operation is part of the Care and Care Sector, Skövde Municipality.

JOB TASKS
We are looking for new employees for our group housing at Barrstigen and Tingshusbacken!
We are seeking someone who wants a rewarding and developing job. As a support assistant in housing with special services, you have the opportunity to contribute to ensuring our users have the highest possible quality of life in their daily routine. Based on individual needs and wishes, you support our users by providing practical and everyday support. Together with support pedagogues, you also work closely with users in their daily activities. In a pedagogical way, you stimulate and motivate individuals towards participation and an independent life. The assignment also includes documentation work in our systems.
You help users with day-to-day activities such as household chores, personal care, and leisure activities. Job tasks also include assistance with movements, medication distribution, handling physical and digital aids, and performing delegated and prescribed interventions according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
In addition to the tasks included in the job description, you will have extended responsibility in a specific area. Your manager, in consultation with you, will determine which area best suits you and your profile. Examples of such roles include; responsible support assistant, fire safety representative, and hygiene representative.
Your knowledge and experience are valuable, so contributing to the development of our shared working methods is part of your role.
Within the Care and Care Sector, we work flexibly between different units. This means you will also work shifts (resource shifts) at other housing facilities beyond your usual workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates with high school education and approved grades from the care and nursing program or child and leisure program, or equivalent education. It is positive (but not required) if you have knowledge of conversation methodologies, such as motivational interviewing (MI), social stories, or picture communication. Experience with delegated tasks, clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approach, and alternative and complementary communication (ACC) are also meritorious.
As a person, you are calm and secure, with a respectful, good, and adaptable approach. To succeed in the role, we seek someone with good collaboration skills, solution-focused mindset, and ability to adapt to new circumstances. To thrive in the role, we believe you have the ability to take personal responsibility in your professional role, are initiative-driven, and accustomed to working independently.
Since several of our users have significant care needs, previous experience with similar work is desirable.
In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the user need to understand each other, and to complete documentation. Computer literacy and preferably experience with social documentation are required.
A driver's license is mandatory.
