About the Job

We are looking for a Support Assistant for Stora Tolsereds väg BmSS!

This is a group housing facility with special service that offers six apartments for residents with psychiatric diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, emotional personality disorder, or psychotic disorders.

Here, six residents aged 50-67 live, who require support and care due to mental disabilities. The group home is designed to create a safe and homely environment where residents can receive assistance with daily activities, cultural activities, and social interaction.

As a Support Assistant, you will work both independently and alongside colleagues to support residents in their daily lives and contribute to a safe and independent life. Your mission is also to create security for the residents and provide them with opportunities to participate in their daily lives based on their individual circumstances. You are also tasked with:

  • Encouraging, supporting, and motivating them to develop their independence and social participation.
  • Health and medical interventions by delegation.
  • Collaboration with psychiatric care, specialized psychiatric services, and home healthcare.
  • Support with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal hygiene.
  • Participating in establishing, implementing, and following up on routines and action plans to provide the right support based on individual needs.

There will be a support pedagogue at the workplace to guide your daily work. The work environment may involve passive smoking and interaction with pets (furry animals). Challenging behaviors and solitary work may occur.

You will work on a schedule with working hours assigned to daytime and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend. Some of the work time may take place at other facilities. We plan the schedule using TimeCare.

We offer a rewarding and varied job with the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.

Welcome with your application!
