We are seeking someone with a strong interest in clarifying pedagogy, structure, and who enjoys challenges.
Your Role
Your role involves planning, developing implementation plans, documenting, conducting regular evaluations, and contributing to maintaining high-quality operations. You will collaborate with parents, relatives, guardians, and other internal and external stakeholders. Tasks include supporting individuals with cleaning, cooking, personal hygiene, and medication management. You'll plan your work together with the person you support, understanding the importance of individual participation and influence in daily life. Since challenging behaviors may occur, experience with low-affective approaches and mapping challenging behaviors is beneficial.
Your responsibilities include providing individual support in daily living by working in a clarifying manner, creating predictability and structure in users' daily lives. Stimulate leisure and cultural activities and societal participation according to individually set goals, enabling maximum independence.
Your Knowledge and Experience
We seek candidates with previous experience working with challenging behaviors. You should have a degree in Care and Nursing Program focused on disabilities, or Youth and Leisure Program focused on support and services in disability areas (social work), or equivalent education/work experience as assessed by the employer.
Additional Qualifications
Experience in social psychiatry and extensive work in disability services. You must work methodically according to established routines, demonstrate professional conduct, and apply low-affective approaches when mapping challenging behaviors. You should be comfortable using alternative communication methods like image support and social stories, with a strong interest in continuous learning. We expect good collaboration skills with colleagues and other professionals supporting service users, and find inspiration in working with individuals with functional variations.

- Strong Swedish language skills, both verbal and written, with documentation experience

- Stress-tolerant and composed under various circumstances
- Good computer skills (Lifecare system knowledge is advantageous)
- Valid B driver's license required
- Personal suitability is crucial

Workplace Details
Karlsrogatan service housing operates 24/7 with varying day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. We're transitioning to meet complex care needs. As a support assistant, you'll be crucial in developing and quality-assuring operations with colleagues.
