Do you want to work in an organization that contributes to sustainable development in our region and plays an important role in the daily lives of hundreds of thousands of residents in Östergötland? Do you have experience in business development, enjoy collaboration, and are interested in balancing quality and cost? Then this could be the role for you.
About us:
At the Department of Demand-Responsive Transport, we work with the part of public transport where customers book their journeys in advance – everything from transport services and medical trips to school transport, local traffic, and archipelago transport. Our goal is to provide travelers with reliable and efficient journeys and contribute to enabling more people to have freedom and mobility, regardless of age or special needs.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Business Developer within Demand-Responsive Transport, you will be an important strategic support to the department head and your colleagues. The role is broad and encompasses development, analysis, and collaboration. You will work in three main areas: leading and streamlining processes, driving projects related to demand-responsive transport, and serving as the management leader for the systems that support the operations. As a management leader, you will plan the activities to be carried out, develop budgets, and follow up on the work within the management object.
In your work, you will identify needs, analyze areas for improvement, and propose solutions that create a balance between cost-effectiveness and high quality. By working systematically with planning, follow-up, data analysis, and calculations, you will create clear and pedagogical decision-making materials that contribute to the development of the operations. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, municipalities, and the region, representing the department in various internal and external collaboration and development projects.
Location: Linköping
Who you are:
We are looking for someone with an academic background in social sciences, logistics, or another relevant field. You also have experience in driving procurement processes, and knowledge of LOU (Public Procurement Act) is considered an asset.
You possess strong analytical skills and enjoy working with data and decision-making materials, for example through BI tools. With a structured and goal-oriented approach, you identify areas for improvement and drive development that leads to concrete results. You communicate in an engaging and clear manner, adapting your message to your audience and seeing the connection between theory and practice. You are persistent and maintain focus on the goals even when the work is complex or faces resistance.
