About this role
Hemköp Huddinge is currently seeking a proactive, ambitious, sales- and customer-focused individual who, with great commitment and drive, can take on the role of Deputy Store Manager/Operations Manager.
**Main Responsibilities**
For those who want overall responsibility and wish to lead employees, the role of Deputy Store Manager/Operations Manager is a perfect fit. Together with the Store Manager, you will be responsible for both purchasing and sales, as well as ensuring that we achieve our jointly set goals. The customer is at the core of our business. Therefore, daily customer interaction is crucial for creating a positive shopping experience. Together with your team, you will secure profitability and ensure that routines are followed, as well as monitor gross profit and sales.
As a Deputy Store Manager/Operations Manager with us, you will have personnel responsibility. This includes ensuring that employees receive the right information, develop, and feel comfortable, as well as ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently. You will also be part of the store's management team. A probationary period applies. Working hours are primarily scheduled during the day, but evenings and weekends may also occur. You will also be responsible for the store when the Store Manager is not present, in addition to being a member of the management team.
Hemköp Huddinge is a retailer-owned store that is part of the Food Market chain. Food Market has undergone an exciting journey in recent years with its stores and has much fun ahead. The stores are run by ambitious owners who are eager to continue developing the store and its departments, making it essential for you to view working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as both challenging and exciting. Food Market values the development of its staff, and there are good opportunities for internal growth.
**What We Expect**
You should have an interest in food, be skilled in driving sales, and enjoy working with people, which is a prerequisite for the role. It is equally important that you have knowledge of the products within your area of responsibility. Additionally, you need to be familiar with basic financial key figures and have experience working in a retail environment. We view it positively if you have completed industry-related training.
Since you will be leading and developing your team, you need to be good at explaining routines, describing the goals the store should achieve, and identifying the challenges that exist. It is important that you thrive in a fast-paced environment. Equally important is your ability to delegate tasks, provide and receive feedback, and not shy away from driving through changes. We prefer candidates who have previous experience in similar roles.
