Ello in Lammhult is a family-owned business located in the heart of Småland, with two production divisions at its facility in Lammhult. Ello in Lammhult Slaughterhouse handles cattle slaughtering, while Ello in Lammhult Charcuterie produces several classic traditional dishes, such as isterband and sylta.
Currently, we have about 20 employees in our slaughter operations, and we are looking for a new team member for our animal barn.
What does the job entail?
As a barn employee, you will work alongside our animal welfare officer, and together you will have significant responsibilities in our animal care efforts. Practically, this means you will jointly be responsible for the reception, housing, and handling of live livestock. The position will include on-site training to acquire the specific professional knowledge required for the job.
This is a full-time position with working hours during the day, Monday to Friday.
Who are you?
We believe you have a high school diploma or equivalent education and/or work experience deemed relevant, as well as experience in physical labor. Experience in a similar barn environment and familiarity with firearms, such as from hunting, is desirable.
As a person, you are positive, stress-resistant, responsible, and methodical in your work approach. In the role of barn employee, you need to be able to closely collaborate with your immediate colleague and enjoy working with animals.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of performing physically demanding work. We also place great importance on your personal qualities, valuing your ability to collaborate and your willingness to learn and develop in your role.
