Stall Xena is a treatment facility that combines consultant-supported foster care with horse-assisted therapy for teenage girls with various types of challenges. The girls live in our foster homes and work daily on their treatment together with their horse at our farm.
🐴 We are looking for you who:
• Are a social worker, treatment educator, therapist, or have equivalent education.
• Have previous professional experience working with children and youth
• Have good experience with horses and stable work
• Have a genuine interest in the horses' significance in treatment work.
• Have an empathetic approach and personal inner security.
• Enjoy an environment where days rarely look the same and have a solution-oriented and flexible work approach.
💼 Your work tasks:
• Be the contact person for enrolled girls and collaborate with social services, schools, and foster homes. Provide daily support and guidance to foster homes.
• Documentation: journal keeping, placement reports, and implementation plans.
• Conversation and treatment work with the girls.
• Horse-assisted therapy and riding therapy.
• Daily stable work: mucking out, feeding, releasing/bringing in horses, and riding as able.
Requirements
• Previous experience working with children and youth
• Good experience with horses and stable work
• B driver's license (own car needed to get to the farm)
💚 We offer:
A close and warm work team where we support each other in both laughter and challenges.
