The Swedish Home Guard is part of the Armed Forces, forming the foundation for civil defense and is present throughout Sweden. The Swedish Home Guard consists of a combat school, four military regions with staffs, regional training groups, Home Guard battalions, and territorial units. The National Home Guard Staff is currently part of the Headquarters. The National Home Guard Staff serves as the central staff for the National Home Guard Commander to lead and direct the unit's production of the Swedish Home Guard. Approximately 60 employees work at the National Home Guard Staff, divided into three departments: the Planning Department, the Execution Department, and the Support Department. About the Execution Department The Execution Department consists of three sections: the Execution Section, the Volunteer Section, and the Monitoring and Analysis Section. The Monitoring and Analysis Section plays a central role as a strategic advisor within finance and simultaneously bears overall performance responsibility. It is also responsible for the monitoring process of the Swedish Home Guard. The section consists of four civilian employees and is characterized by teamwork, results focus, humility, and openness. Main Duties As a staff officer, you will be part of the Monitoring and Analysis Section. The role is broad and includes planning, leading, coordinating, and executing the Swedish Home Guard's monitoring process. You will be responsible for developing applicable methods and creating a cohesive and integrated reporting method. You will be tasked with gathering, structuring, and analyzing reported information from the National Home Guard Commander's DRC. The analysis should be assessed and goal-oriented, transforming into a fact-based situational picture. The emphasis of the work lies in identifying conflicting goals, production losses, deviations, and the correlation between executed measures and actual capability increases. This requires the ability to draw relevant conclusions for the production of combat units based on the wartime unit plan and tactical assessment. Requirements Qualifications - Officer level OF3 (Mj) or OR 8 (Fv) - Experience in operational planning/management and follow-up, as well as coordination - Experience working with the PRIO system - Experience with the VIDAR system - Experience at the company and battalion levels - Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English Personal Qualities The position involves handling confidential information, which demands a high level of integrity. You are accustomed to working both independently and leading temporary workgroups. You are driven, structured, responsible, and can deliver quickly and with quality assurance, even under pressure. Furthermore, you have a good ability to independently analyze, plan, execute, and pedagogically present tasks. To thrive in this role, it is crucial that you possess good collaboration skills, are communicative, clear, unpretentious, and have an easy time making connections. In the selection process, significant weight will be placed on personal suitability and achieved results in previous work areas. Meritorious - Experience from the Armed Forces' command support systems. - Experience working at a higher staff level (Regional staff, Branch of service staff, or Headquarters). - Experience with the Armed Forces' reporting and operational follow-up processes. - Good knowledge of the organization, operations, and work methods of the Swedish Home Guard.
