About the Unit
The Coordination Section at FMLOG staff is part of the Implementation Division (J 3) and plays a central role in leading daily operations within FMLOG. The section is responsible for coordinating and executing operational and tactical logistics management, with the goal of strengthening the Armed Forces' ability to act nationally and internationally. FMLOG staff is located in premises at Gärdet in Stockholm, together with the FMLOG transport unit. In the section, we work closely together and have a strong group spirit with great care and respect for both each other and the important work we perform every day.
Primary Duties
In the role of staff assistant at FMLOG staff, you'll have the opportunity to develop within the logistics field and staff services. The position offers an exciting and varied daily routine where you'll gain deep insight into how logistics work in the Armed Forces and what it's like to work in a higher military staff. This position is perfect for those who want to deepen their knowledge of the Armed Forces and gain valuable work experience.
As a staff assistant at FMLOG, you'll primarily support staff members through the following general tasks:
• Manage information systems
• Support the department with function-specific tasks
• Master current functional applications for your own function
• Coordinate follow-up of situation maps and tableaus
• Coordinate the development of briefings, orders, instructions, reports, compilations, and reports for your own function
• Communication, dispatch, and archive services
The position requires you to take personal responsibility for maintaining your physical ability and soldier skills. In consultation with your supervisor, you'll seek and complete training that fits your personal development plan, together with other staff assistants at the staff.
Qualifications
• Completed military basic training or national service
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Driving license class B (manual)
Meritorious:
• Service at battalion staff, company management, or command platoon
• Experience with security and intelligence tasks
• Experience with logistics and communication tasks
• Experience with planning tasks
• Experience with archive and dispatch tasks
• Knowledge of Armed Forces IT systems, PRIO, VIDAR, SWECCIS, ISUS
• Trained on Armed Forces crypto devices and crypto phones
• Good English skills
• Proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Completed basic staff service course
• Previous employment with the Armed Forces
