About the Unit As a staff assistant in the exercise planning and collaboration department (A79), you will be part of a solution-oriented team that supports C F 16 in exercise planning and collaboration at the local and regional levels to achieve tactically desirable effects. As part of the department, you will learn a great deal about how an air wing operates and have the opportunity to build a large network both within and outside the unit. This can be advantageous for those interested in furthering their education within the Swedish Armed Forces (FM) to become a specialist officer or officer. The wing staff is the unit that prepares and issues orders for the unit commander’s tasks to directly subordinate units. The primary responsibilities of the exercise planning and collaboration department (A79) are to plan exercises at the unit level, coordinate and implement parts of C F 16 collaboration at the regional and local levels with actors within total defense. The department leads the unit's audits within military aviation and drives the quality work and communication of the operation. As a staff assistant, you will be part of a team that, together with other parts of the wing staff, supports C F 16. Main Responsibilities As a staff assistant, you will support planning and implementation through administrative support such as orders, shopping carts, bookings, taking minutes, etc. You will work on preparing materials for C A79 but also support and collaborate with other departments within the wing staff. The position also means that you are part of the staff in the combat unit and should be able to operate in the role of staff assistant and report receiver. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications • Completed military service or basic military training • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently when required, and find it easy to collaborate with others. DESIRABLE • Driver's license B • Relevant experience from the Swedish Armed Forces, preferably the Air Force • Service within a staff or management group • Knowledge of the SAP/PRIO system. Other Employment Type: Fixed-term employment according to GSS/K agreement (6 years with the possibility of extension up to 12 years). The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period. Employment Rate: Full-time Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also operates at other locations, which may involve occasional business trips. Working Hours: Primarily daytime. Evening and weekend duties may occur during exercise activities.
