The Army Staff develops and production-manages war units and subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools. ABOUT THE POSITION As a staff assistant, you will belong to the production planning section, which is part of the planning department at the Army Staff. The production planning section consists of several function-oriented units (details) with their own specialist areas, while all participate in the full breadth of army production tasks. The section and its work offer great opportunities to continue developing and gaining deeper knowledge of staff service, the army as a whole, and the Army Staff in particular. Recruiting Unit The production planning section leads and coordinates the production of army war units related to capability-creating factors such as economy, personnel, infrastructure, exercise, and training. The section, including its details, employs around twenty employees, both officers and civilian staff with expert knowledge. Main Work Tasks As a staff assistant, you will be a key player in the section's coordination. The main task is to support and partially coordinate the section's administrative tasks. You will also assist in daily staff work at the section and support the section and detail leaders. Additionally, you will perform practical preparations and follow-ups for meetings and visits, as well as administering the section's work. This may include booking travel, coordinating transportation, making visit registrations, arranging meeting documents, IT infrastructure, and facilities. The work is done in close collaboration with section staff. You will also collaborate with other staff assistants and sometimes help solve tasks in other sections/departments. Most work tasks in the section are handled in a classified environment. Qualifications • Completed military basic training or national service • Trained staff assistant or experience in staff service/military leadership or other relevant experience deemed equivalent by the employer • High school diploma or equivalent as deemed by the employer • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English • Good computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office • Class B driver's license Meritorious • Group leader training from national service/basic training • Knowledge and experience of the Armed Forces' IT support systems • Signal protection training Personal Characteristics The position suits you who easily collaborate, as the position requires high flexibility and good collaborative ability.
