The Department of Dentistry in Jönköping is now announcing a regional position for specialist training in oral surgery. The Department of Dentistry in Jönköping is one of the country's educators of specialist dentists, with over 200 graduates. In addition to clinical specialist dental care and research, the resident training is an important part of the operations across all nine specialties.
The Department of Oral Surgery, together with Clinical Dental Physiology, Dental Radiology, and Orofacial Medicine, forms the Jaw Surgery Clinic, comprising 67 staff members. The Jaw Surgery Clinic has a well-established collaboration with various healthcare providers and a developed exchange of experience with clinics in dermatology, otolaryngology, and oncology.
We are looking for a general dentist with a strong interest in oral surgery and solid qualifications in the relevant field. We seek
We are looking for someone who wants to help shape the future of dental care and be part of the solution for patients referred for specialist dental care. You are a licensed dentist with at least 2 years of experience in general dentistry, including treating children, adolescents, and adults. You must be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
As a person, you demonstrate a positive attitude and enjoy collaborating with others. Together with your supervisors, you will drive your development forward and take responsibility for achieving the educational goals according to HSLF-FS 2017:77. Personal suitability will be given great consideration.

We offer you a regional position for specialist training that involves full-time work for a minimum of 4 years, starting April 1, 2026.
In your role as a resident dentist with us, you will receive clinical supervision, sometimes in a multidisciplinary collaboration, which is one of the advantages of having all nine specialties within the same organization. It is essential for us that you learn to see the whole patient.

What you will work with
The clinical part of the training will challenge and develop your clinical skills through encounters with the full treatment spectrum of the oral surgeon regarding referred patients. You will have access to supervision. The training includes a substantial theoretical component with courses and seminars aimed at developing a scientific approach. You will have a primary supervisor, but other senior dentists and staff members in the department will also participate in your training.
