About this role
Do you enjoy the pulse of a department store and get energy from seeing both people and results grow? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are currently looking for a driven and committed Deputy Store Manager who wants to play an important role in our continued journey. At Rusta, you get to make a real difference – every day. In the role of Deputy Store Manager, you are closest to the Store Manager, both in terms of responsibility and daily work. Together, you ensure that everyday operations run smoothly, and when the Store Manager is not present, you take the helm. You inspire and support your colleagues, create structure, and make sure the right things happen at the right time – with both the big picture and details in focus. You function as a confident leader and role model for the team, maintaining order in everything from the cash register to the warehouse, and working to ensure the store not only meets its goals – but preferably exceeds them. At the same time, you always keep the customer at the center and go that extra mile to create a welcoming and positive experience in the store.
You don't need to know everything from the start – we'll teach you! But we believe that you:
• Have a few years of leadership experience in retail, preferably from a business that handles large volumes
• Feel comfortable in a leadership role and are good at thinking both strategically and forward-looking
• Find being clear, direct, and having a good sense of humor an obvious part of your daily life
• Are good at bringing others along – both in everyday pace and when things get challenging
• Like having full energy around you and thrive when a lot is happening
• Have a genuine drive to develop, and maybe aim to manage your own store within a few years
If you are inspired by working in a changing environment where flexibility is key, then you will enjoy working with us!
What makes Rusta – well, Rusta? 💛
Our values are not just words on paper – they are something we actually work by every day:
• Simplicity – We like straightforward paths and smart solutions. Why complicate things?
• Courage – We dare to try new things and learn along the way – that's how we develop.
• Commitment – We really care, take responsibility, and do our best – every day.
• Together – With us, the team wins, not the individual. We support each other and succeed together.
How the application process works:
• Your answers to selection questions when applying
• A short test (don't worry – it's not a math exam)
• Interview on-site at the store
• Digital reference checking
• A background check – nothing strange, just routine
Employment details:
• Employment type: Temporary position, possible opportunity for permanent employment
• Scope: Full-time (38.25 hours/week)
• Start date: January 2025 or by agreement
• Salary: According to collective agreement
Application deadline: 2025-11-25
We look forward to getting to know you – Warmly welcome with your application!
