About this role
Make a difference. Every day.
Is your dream to build long-term patient relationships and monitor their health over time? Do you want to combine a varied and developing job with the opportunity to take a dip before or after work? If so, you should apply for the position with us! We are now welcoming an ST doctor in general medicine.
The Råå Health Centre is located in the southern part of Helsingborg, just a stone's throw from the sea, with good train and bus connections. We have over 50 employees who take care of our 11,400 listed patients. We offer these patients a wide range of clinics, including those for diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, elderly care, and district nursing, as well as a child health centre. We also strive to ensure that all patients have a named doctor and that patients with chronic illnesses are regularly called from a waiting list for visits. This is to ensure good and quality care for our patients.
All professional groups work collaboratively and team-based, and our doors are always open for collegial inquiries and discussions. We hold a brief morning meeting daily to keep everyone updated on what’s happening in the organization. Furthermore, we are always striving to develop and are continuously working to improve our services. We offer you as an employee good opportunities to make an impact. Additionally, we prioritize a positive work environment focusing on satisfied employees and patients, as well as high quality care. We also operate based on our guiding principles: quality, continuity, accessibility, and a good work environment.
We have many exciting new projects ahead, including further developing our digital services. We aim to have a patient listing cap of 1,100 patients per full-time specialist doctor, with a slightly lower cap for ST doctors. Currently, we have seven specialist doctors in general medicine, six ST doctors, and AT doctors.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an ST doctor, you will engage in an exciting and challenging role with excellent conditions for broad training within the specialty. Your training will be tailored in consultation with your supervisor to ensure it is as optimal and interesting as possible. You will work with common tasks such as scheduled and urgent medical consultations, serving as a consulting doctor for nurses, supervising students, and participating in rounds for assessment and triaging.
Doctors at the health centre have various responsibilities such as child health care (BVC) and rounds at our nursing homes, which will be part of your training experience. Furthermore, involvement in collaborative matters with the municipality and other authorities is included. We currently have nine specialist doctors in general medicine, five ST doctors, as well as AT and BT doctors.
An indefinite employment as an ST doctor may be preceded by a fixed-term position as a junior doctor for a period of three to six months, according to regional guidelines for appointing ST doctor positions within primary care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Regarding formal requirements, you need to have completed AT or BT and be a licensed doctor authorized to practice within the Swedish healthcare system with language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
We are looking for someone who is skilled at planning and organizing their work but also has the ability to prioritize and adapt when necessary. You are thorough, confident, and stable while addressing patients according to their different needs. Additionally, you are attentive, empathetic, and maintain a positive attitude. You also have a good rapport with both patients and colleagues. You show great commitment to your work, find it easy to collaborate, and enjoy having a variety of tasks. We welcome applicants who, like us, are interested in working with development and improvement. You feel comfortable and confident in your role as a doctor and selflessly share your knowledge with colleagues from various professional groups, as well as any students and training doctors. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
In this recruitment process, we will be conducting continuous selection. We warmly welcome your application today!
