About this role

Make a difference. Every day. The Fosietorp Health Center is a well-functioning and pleasant health care unit with a research mandate from the Center for Primary Care Research (CPF). We view collaboration as a success factor and strive for openness on key issues, while seeing communication as a natural working tool to work towards common goals and achieve them. Our daily work is characterized by trust-based governance, patient focus, and operational development. The health center has several specialist clinics, and the child health clinic is also located within our shared facilities. We have approximately 11,500 registered patients at our specialist clinics, and around 750 children are registered at the child health clinic. Currently, we are about 45 employees in various professions, including specialist-trained general practitioners, residents, district nurses, pediatric nurses, general nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and medical secretaries/administrators. Together, we, representing various areas within general medicine, work to provide all our patients with safe and accessible high-quality primary care with a good approach. Our facilities are located in the southern urban area of Malmö with good public bus connections and close to both outer and inner ring roads for those who choose to drive. We are an academic health center serving as a resource for other health centers regarding various research projects. Since a significant amount of research is conducted at the health center, we continuously stay updated and maintain a high scientific standard in both our medical operations and mental health initiatives. We are proud to be an academic health center and of our structured commitment to quality and development work, where we help build bridges between the academic world and primary care. JOB DESCRIPTION We now welcome a colleague to our well-staffed and development-oriented medical team consisting of eight general practitioners and six residents/licensed physicians. We are looking for someone who wants to work in new ways to improve primary care and the work environment. Together, we will further develop the Fosietorp model, a modern and patient-centered approach to working as a general practitioner. We strive for continuity, quality, and to be close to our patients. You will manage both urgent and scheduled consultations, as well as assessment patients. The work involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages with all kinds of health issues that do not require resources within specialized healthcare. Our medical team is known for being helpful and welcoming, and we have a culture that encourages openness. We have good continuity and high competence across all professional groups within the health center. We apply trust-based governance, flexible working methods, and a structure that promotes personal development as well as group and operational development. We believe that the courage to try new working methods will continue to lead us forward and we are fully engaged in digitalization. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome applications from licensed physicians who are authorized to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum of level C1 according to the Council of Europe language scale is a requirement. We appreciate any previous experience in primary care and familiarity with PMO and Melior. We envision that you want to work in a modern and flexible way that can be adapted to other life situations and that you want to be involved in further developing our working model. Personal suitability is of high importance. For this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today! A permanent position as a resident doctor may be preceded by a fixed-term position as a junior doctor for a period of three to six months in accordance with regional guidelines for the appointment of resident doctor positions within Primary Care.
