County Hospital Somatic Care coordinates specialized somatic healthcare in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital operations. These are conducted at three hospitals in Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, along with several clinics located across the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.
Surgical County Operations in Sundsvall is an Academic Healthcare Unit where both research and medical student education are conducted. At the Surgical Unit in Sundsvall, we work to quality assure our training services. This is an ongoing process with regular SPUR inspections. The purpose is to ensure supervision, compliance with job descriptions, and maintain a good work environment.
We are now seeking an ST Physician for the Surgical Clinic in Sundsvall for a permanent position starting 15 December 2025.
Job Responsibilities
The ST Physician role in surgery involves working under supervision and gradually transitioning to independent work in operations, outpatient clinics, and hospital wards. The position includes primary on-call duties at the surgical clinic.
