Your Workplace
Torsby Health Center has approximately 10,600 registered patients and a staff of around 35 individuals with diverse expertise.
The medical team consists of four specialists and five resident physicians, with a range of ages and experiences. We also have district nurses, nursing assistants, a social worker, a psychologist, a CBT therapist, healthcare administrators, and a foot therapist working here.
We are co-located with Torsby Hospital. In the same building, there are emergency services, a laboratory, radiology, outpatient rehabilitation, a family center, and outpatient psychiatry. Torsby is strategically located with good train, bus, and flight connections to Karlstad and Stockholm.

Your Responsibilities
As a resident physician with us, you will receive strong support from your colleagues in your development towards becoming a specialist. You will be assigned a personal supervisor and have scheduled time for regular guidance. We expect you to actively contribute to your own development through patient engagement and deepening your theoretical knowledge.
We work cross-professionally around the patient, and as a physician in our workplace, you need to be able to collaborate easily with various professions.
Your Skills and Competencies
We are looking for a licensed physician who wishes to begin a residency in general medicine. As a training physician, we prioritize both your supervision and study time each week, and we maintain an ongoing discussion to ensure a reasonable workload.
You are a confident and humble person who enjoys collaborating with others but can also plan, structure, and prioritize your work independently. It is also important that you can adapt to changing circumstances, work solution-focused, and keep the bigger picture in mind. Your strong empathetic ability ensures that you always place the patient's needs at the center, while also inspiring others, being quality-conscious, and striving to maintain a high standard in your work.
