Psychiatric Clinic Seeks Specialist Training Physician
The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå, the largest in Norrland, currently has approximately 400 employees. The clinic includes three general psychiatric inpatient wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units.
The Psychiatric Clinic works towards providing equitable care for all, based on research and clinical experience. The clinic collaborates with the university and conducts research in psychiatry. We have professors, lecturers, and university physicians connected to the clinic through combined positions or part-time academic appointments. The clinic offers various positions from senior physicians to specialists and physicians in specialist training working clinically.
The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment is designed with a focus on promoting health. The living and working environment is supported by modern technology and research, evident in light and communication systems. The clinic is climate-smart and self-sufficient in electricity and heating. Both bus and train connections are near the psychiatric building, making commuting convenient.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Specialist Training Physician with us, you contribute to caring for others and helping people feel better.
The clinic offers all Specialist Training Physicians an individual study plan and scheduled study time.
We encourage our Specialist Training colleagues to be involved in the clinic's development and consider it a matter of course that everyone in the work group contributes and has their own areas of responsibility.
In addition to the specialty-specific program, you will participate in the LEKA training. This is a program focusing on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for Specialist Training Physicians within Region Västerbotten.
On-call and standby duty are included.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare by the start date. You have an interest in specializing in psychiatry and/or a chosen subspecialty.
We require excellent Swedish language skills at level C1.
