Neuro-Head-Neck Center (NHHC) consists of approximately 650 employees and is located at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå. The center provides care with various aspects of investigation, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and injuries to the nervous system, brain, ear, nose, throat, and maxillofacial surgery. The center is a county clinic that provides highly specialized care for patients from the entire northern healthcare area and conducts research, education, and development.
Within the ear, nose, and throat diseases area, NHHC has both a clinic and a care ward with a day surgery department. Patients are treated for various diseases in general basic ENT, audiology, phoniatrics, rhinology, otosurgery, and tumor surgery. We are a county clinic that uses collective resources in the most optimal way for the entire county. We offer a stimulating work environment with a pleasant atmosphere and close collaboration between different professional groups. We are affiliated with the Department of Clinical Science at the Medical Faculty of Umeå University.
We are now seeking a physician who wants to complete their specialist training with us. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop within the specialty you are interested in, alongside experienced colleagues, and work together with committed professionals from all fields!
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a specialist trainee with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that helps people feel secure.
You will provide care and treatment for patients with ear, nose, and throat diseases, including surgical and follow-up care, as well as medical treatment.
Through your training position, you will receive a comprehensive specialist education and a personal mentor. In addition to standard medical tasks involving medical assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation within our operations, you will also undergo various rotational placements to fulfill the National Board of Health and Welfare's target description.
Beyond the specialty-specific program, you will also participate in EKA training - a program focusing on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for specialist trainees within Region Västerbotten.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare no later than upon appointment. You have an interest in specializing in ear, nose, and throat diseases, and if desired, a chosen subspecialty.
Personal suitability and collaborative ability will be considered.
We require excellent Swedish language skills at level C1.
Travel within the county may be necessary.
