Region Västerbotten works to strengthen good health and sustainable development. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and ensure that research and innovation yield results.
The Rheumatology Clinic is a county clinic with units in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. The clinic is responsible for specialized rheumatology care in the northern healthcare region and manages inpatient beds at Norrland University Hospital (NUS), where patients with severe systemic diseases requiring hospital care are investigated and treated. The Umeå unit provides day care with approximately 1,200 infusion treatments per year.
The outpatient service is extensive, with clinics at all units. In Lycksele and Skellefteå, consultations are conducted by doctors traveling from Umeå and via telemedicine. The clinic primarily serves patients with rheumatic diseases requiring active anti-rheumatic treatment, as well as acute and consultation services. Research and education are crucial parts of our mission as a university healthcare unit.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Specialist Training (ST) physician with us, you will contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.
