Imaging and Functional Medicine Västerbotten (BFM) operates extensive facilities at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå, Skellefteå Hospital, Lycksele Hospital, and health centers in southern Lapland. BFM handles all types of imaging radiological examinations, including nuclear medicine and advanced peripheral and neurological interventions.
The county has, in addition to conventional equipment, 6 modern MRI systems including two 3T MRI cameras, 9 CT systems including 1 photon-counting CT, 2 SPECT/CT, 2 PET/CT, a cyclotron, and active tracer chemistry operations.
The clinic performs approximately 200,000 examinations per year.
Research is conducted in collaboration with Umeå University, focusing on fMRI and nuclear medicine with PET/CT, with ongoing international collaborative projects. In cooperation with the university, medical and radiography training is also conducted.
We are now seeking two Specialty Trainee Physicians in Umeå!
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Specialty Trainee Physician with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.
Responsibilities include radiological management and assessment of radiological examinations at BFM Västerbotten. Ward rounds and multidisciplinary conference work are important parts of the job. Research, educational, and development work are included to varying degrees.
On-site and on-call shifts at home are part of the position.
In addition to the specialty-specific program, you will participate in LEKA training. This is a program focusing on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for Specialty Trainees within Region Västerbotten.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare, latest by start of employment. You have an interest in specializing in imaging and functional medicine.
Personal suitability and collaboration skills will be considered. You need to communicate well with both patients and colleagues. You are attentive and see feedback as a positive part of your development.
We require strong Swedish language skills at C1 level.
