About this role
Region Västerbotten works to strengthen good health and sustainable development. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
Skellefteå Surgery provides acute and planned care for patients from across the county in surgery and urology. We consist of a surgery and urology clinic with scheduled outpatient visits for surgery, urology, and endoscopy, a care ward, a weekly care ward, and a cytostatic treatment unit. Surgical and urological operations are performed daily in the operating department, and minor operations are also conducted at the surgical clinic.
In our care wards, we work with both pre- and post-operative care and receive emergency cases from the emergency room. Our nursing is characterized by a holistic approach where various professional categories collaborate for the best results. We also provide palliative care.
We work together in interprofessional teams to save, improve, and extend lives. This is a challenging task that we tackle together.
Skellefteå Surgery is part of the Center for Operative Activities. In the center, it is important that patient and staff satisfaction and team spirit are high. Therefore, we actively work with the vision: Through our behaviors, we create a workplace characterized by safety, learning, respect, and a professional approach.
Working with us is stimulating, educational, and interesting. We work with continuous development and research to provide our patients with safe and good care. We place great importance on caring for and educating students from various professional categories, as we hope to see them as future colleagues.
