Surgery and Urology
The core mission is to meet Region Gotland's needs for emergency and trauma surgery as well as planned surgical and urological care.
We have close collaboration with Region Stockholm.
The facility consists of a department with 18 acute and six elective care beds, along with a clinic covering all subspecialties, divided into surgery, urology, endoscopy, breast, and stoma services.
Visby Hospital is a small hospital with broad capabilities. Our advantage is that we are close to each other and easily develop personal familiarity. Challenges include being able to handle most situations given our location on an island. Collaboration for highly specialized care primarily occurs with Region Stockholm.
Your Responsibilities
We offer a Specialist Training position in surgery, according to the Swedish Surgical Association's target description. A training plan will be established and a supervisor assigned. Additional training on the mainland for approximately 18 months will be relevant.
Healthcare services on Gotland are characterized by extensive clinical breadth and a high proportion of acute patients. This places special requirements on collaboration with other specialties and professional groups to provide patients with optimal and safe care.

We are looking for a licensed physician. Current position at the Visby Surgery Clinic is meritorious.
You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
