About this role
Make a difference. Every day.
Are you looking for a position as a resident physician in general practice? At Näsby Health Center, you will have the opportunity to contribute your specific expertise and manage a reasonable caseload with your own listed patients. We offer excellent development opportunities!
We are a stable and well-functioning unit with approximately 10,400 registered patients, operating in an area that uniquely combines multicultural urban life with the Skåne countryside. Our medical practice includes six specialists in general medicine, two resident physicians, two interns, and one junior physician. Would you like to be the doctor who complements our team?
We are a multifaceted organization with clinics for district nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and occupational therapists. We also have specialized nurse-led clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, heart failure, cognitive impairment, and we offer targeted health consultations. We have a well-developed rehabilitation coordinator function at 100%, an elderly care clinic, a lifestyle clinic, and a mobile care team. In telephone consultations and primary care triage, initial assessments are smoothly handled by nurses with support from doctors, physiotherapists, and nursing assistants. There is an interpreter and a service host available in the waiting room.
Professional development is important to us, and we are open to trying new working methods. The organization develops dynamically through excellent collaboration between employees and management. Collegial dialogue is a high priority, with regular physician meetings. Supervision and educational matters are close to our hearts, and we have undergone a SPUR inspection with the best results.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as a resident physician, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire field of general medicine. You will have a limited list responsibility, allowing you to follow your patients over time. You will handle both urgent and scheduled consultations, as well as patients requiring investigations. The work involves assessing and treating patients of all ages with various health issues that do not require specialized healthcare resources.
For patients with chronic conditions and rehabilitation issues, you will work in a team around the patient, where our rehabilitation coordinator is an essential support in the rehabilitation process. As we prioritize supervision, we have a weekly "question doctor" who provides knowledge support to our resident, intern, and junior physicians.
As a resident physician, you will follow your training plan, and we offer a supportive educational environment on your path to becoming a specialist. In addition to mandatory resident courses and participation in resident days, you will have excellent development opportunities with continuous education, both internally and externally, based on your interests and the needs of the organization. You will also have dedicated time for studies and supervision each week.
Administrative time is allocated, and you can influence how you wish to structure your schedule regarding this. The goal is to minimize administration for the physicians in the unit. At the same time, we expect you to be involved in improvement work and organizational development.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the position, you must be a licensed physician authorized to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. Furthermore, you must have Swedish language skills at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s language scale.
We are looking for someone who wants to help us develop primary care. We value good collaboration skills and that you are a good listener. We highly value the well-being of our staff and work with individual solutions to create a position that suits you. Please feel free to express any personal preferences in your application or during the interview.
In this recruitment process, we apply continuous selection, so we warmly welcome your application today!
A permanent position as a resident physician may be preceded by a temporary position as a junior physician for a period of three to six months in accordance with regional guidelines for appointing resident physician positions within Primary Care.
