About this role

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people at all stages of life. We make each other better. Visby Norr Health Center Would you like to participate in the transition towards Good and Close care built around stable contacts? Come to us in Gotland! As a general practitioner in primary care, you and your general medicine team focus on knowing the people on your list and taking personal responsibility for the medical support they need in their pursuit of better health. As a general practitioner in primary care, you play a key role in the local community and contribute to making Gotland a better place for people at all stages of life. By striving to establish stable contacts in care and facilitating collaboration for shared patients, Region Gotland is equipping its healthcare for future challenges. As a primary care physician, you are your patients' link to high-quality, modern, cohesive care and support, accessible to all. We work with the goal of offering our patients high availability and continuity with strong generalist competence. In the fall of 2022, a political decision was made in Gotland to adhere to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guideline of 1/1100 and 1/550 for specialty training physicians. In May 2024, we followed up on the first year's work according to our action plan and found that we had taken the steps we intended and more. Visby Norr Health Center has approximately 13,000 registered patients and 40 employees who work together to provide increasingly person-centered and accessible care. The health center is undergoing a phase of change and development with a strong focus on responsiveness, medical quality, and patient safety. In a changing healthcare world, we adapt and prioritize our working methods based on our patients' needs. Currently, we are intensively working to shift our focus from diagnosis to medical assessment, salutogenesis, continuity, and coordination. Here, you will have the opportunity to help shape the work in our general medicine teams. We value professional personal interaction, continuity, accessibility, and long-term commitment. Welcome to Visby Norr, we are a health center with strong cohesion and great drive! Your Responsibilities The tasks are varied, including patient consultations, physician involvement in special housing, and home healthcare. You will have a supervisor and follow your personal training plan, which is developed in dialogue with your supervisor, study director, and manager. We have a well-established structure for your specialty training, which has received positive feedback during SPUR inspections, most recently in 2023. You will be responsible for a patient list based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines for specialty training physicians. The health center has the advantage of having several specialty training physicians and aims to be at the forefront regarding supervision. You will have the opportunity to work with other employees to develop the organization and participate in improvement and quality work both at the health center and in connection with other care. Here, you are part of the whole, and we look forward to finding ways to harness your engagement. The physicians in the unit have daily meetings with our neighboring health center and a continuing education forum one afternoon a month with all permanently employed physicians in primary care. As a specialty training physician, you will also participate in joint training days every month. These include education, group supervision, and meetings with your study director. We document in TakeCare. On-call and standby duties are included. Who Are You? We are looking for a licensed physician authorized to work within Swedish healthcare. You are stable and adaptable to situations, and you find it easy to collaborate. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
