We are now seeking a Specialty Doctor (ST-läkare) in Ophthalmology for the Eye Clinic in Lycksele!
The Eye Clinic Västerbotten provides specialized healthcare in ophthalmology in Västerbotten and the northern region. Our operations are located at three hospitals in the county: Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are a university clinic that treats patients with eye diseases of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
The Eye Clinic in Lycksele provides healthcare to the population of Southern Lapland. Operations are conducted during daytime, with outpatient and surgical units for cataract surgeries, injection treatments, and external surgeries.

DUTIES
As a Specialty Doctor with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that helps people feel secure.
During your specialty training, you will acquire skills to independently investigate, diagnose, treat, and follow up on eye diseases. You will receive an individualized training program with a designated supervisor. The supervisor's role is to provide teaching, support, and insight into practical work challenges and to support the development of your professional identity.
You will primarily work daytime hours, including day on-call duties. Your placement will be in Lycksele, with some periods of training in Umeå. You will actively participate in development and quality improvement work within the clinic.
In addition to the specialty-specific program, you will also participate in the LEKA training program, which focuses on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and personal reflection for Specialty Doctors in Region Västerbotten.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare, valid by the start date. You have an interest in specializing in ophthalmology.
We seek candidates who are engaged, competent, able to collaborate, and contribute to workplace joy and positive change.
We require excellent Swedish language skills at level C1.
