Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care Skellefteå provides emergency and planned anesthesia and surgical care for adults and children over 1 year, postoperative care, intensive care for adults, and sterile processing. We collaborate closely with other clinics within the region. In the Operating Room, we work with General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ear-Nose-Throat Surgery, Dentistry, and the Eye Clinic. In the Intensive Care Unit, we also collaborate closely with Internal Medicine-Geriatrics and the Pediatric Clinic. We have a vena access team with expertise in vena ports, pacemakers, dialysis catheters, and PICC lines. Additionally, the anesthesia department has a team working on pain treatment.
We work together in interprofessional teams to save, improve, and prolong lives. It is a challenging task that we tackle together. We work with continuous development and research to provide our patients with safe and high-quality care.

We are now seeking a Resident Physician for AnOpIva Skellefteå.
DUTIES
As a Resident Physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.
Working as a Resident Physician in anesthesia and intensive care is highly varied and aims to provide you with both broad and advanced competence. We are a clinic where we support each other and actively work to develop our skills and operations. Even as a Resident Physician, you will actively contribute to further developing the clinic's activities. As a Resident Physician, you will be involved in supervising Residents in secondary training, Interns, and other staff categories.
Residents in anesthesia and intensive care participate in a regional training program for aspiring anesthesiologists. The program is run together with the Northern Region's study directors, where the Resident is expected to be involved in both planning and implementation at some point during their training.
In addition to the specialty-specific program, you will also participate in the EKA training. A program focusing on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for Residents within Region Västerbotten.
The work includes a significant amount of on-call duty.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare no later than upon commencement. You have an interest in specializing in anesthesia and intensive care.
Personal suitability and collaboration skills will be considered. Research merits are viewed positively.
We require good Swedish language skills equivalent to level C1.
