About the Assignment
We are seeking someone who wants to support children and youth who need to live outside the parental home according to LSS (9:8). Our target group is youth within personal circle 1, which includes intellectual disability, autism, or autism-like conditions.
Together with the youth, you will work to provide individually designed support during school time, leisure activities, and daily tasks. You will contribute to strengthening the youth's abilities and independence while actively working to develop progress towards the goals in the implementation plan. An important part of the assignment is also to document the work clearly and systematically.
The goal is for each youth to have the opportunity to live a meaningful life with increased quality of life while developing important social and practical skills. To succeed, we work with a holistic perspective where collaboration is crucial. Together with social services, guardians, school, internships, and other professional networks, we create a safe and coherent intervention. The entire process is built on participation, where youth, guardians, and clients actively participate.
Job Details:
Location: Everöd, Tollarp and Östra Sönnarslöv (Kristianstad municipality)
Working Hours: Long shifts/24-hour shifts/night shifts
Employment Degree: Approximately 82% with opportunity for extra shifts
Start: By agreement
Employment Type: Permanent position with six-month probationary period
Requirements:
• Support pedagogue/social pedagogue, or nursing assistant with LSS specialization or equivalent education
• At least one year of work experience with similar assignments involving children/youth in the target group
• Training and/or experience in low-affective approach and handling challenging situations
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• Manual driving license (B-class)
Merits:
• Training or short courses adapted for neuropsychiatric conditions
• Knowledge of Alternative and Complementary Communication (AKK)
• Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy (Teacch, AKK, TAKK or equivalent)
• Basic knowledge of BBIC/IBIC
• Experience with various journal systems and quality management systems
Personal Characteristics:
As a person, you have the ability to build lasting relationships where you can balance setting boundaries with showing care and warmth.
As an employee, you have a good ability to brake, turn, extinguish, divert, and motivate children and youth with undesirable behaviors. Furthermore, you have a professional approach in meeting the youth, considering your own impact on their behavior and feelings.
You have a genuine desire to work towards established goals in the implementation plan, an ability to document this, and a passion for LSS work.
