Job Responsibilities
The operations are located in Örgryte Härlanda, at Vävskedsgatan's BmSS (Supported Housing).
The target group has mild intellectual disabilities. At Vävskedsgatan, we have 7 residents, including one housing support case. 6 employees work here, including 1 support pedagogue.
As a support pedagogue, you will have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work within the operation. You will establish work methods and approaches, and ensure they are used and developed effectively. Together with the work team, you will create, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. You will ensure that social documentation and implementation plans are established, further developed, and followed according to laws and guidelines.
As a support pedagogue, you are a knowledge resource in the work team. You will act as support and guidance for each individual employee and the work group, and also provide support to the manager. You will coach the work group based on the operation's needs and methods. Together with your colleagues, you have a central role in the operation's quality development and systematic improvement work.
You will be part of a network with other pedagogues and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure residents receive good care, support, and service.
Working hours include day, evening, on-call sleeping, and weekend shifts. We use Time Care Planning for operation-adapted and flexible base schedules.
Qualifications
For the support pedagogue position, post-secondary specialization in disability services is required, comprising at least 200 vocational education points or 60 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least two semesters of full-time studies. The education must have a clear focus on disability services throughout its entirety.
Previous experience working as a support pedagogue is mandatory.
You should have good verbal and written communication skills, as you will independently prepare documentation according to IBIC and other social documentation. Therefore, approved grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 are required. If you lack this, you may need to take a language test via Educateit.
