About the Job
We provide children, youth, and young adults with functional variations the opportunity for environmental change, recreation, and support, while also offering relief to their families.
As a support educator, you will plan daily activities, guide colleagues, and ensure support is tailored to each individual's needs. You'll work both in our facilities in Löddeköpinge and in the community, with the goal of strengthening individual independence.
You'll collaborate closely with educators, coordinators, and unit managers, and receive support through introduction, skills development, and a network of other support educators.
Working hours are irregular, following a schedule adapted to when children and youth are in the facility, which means working during days, evenings, and weekends.
We Are Seeking Candidates Who:
- Have a high school education in healthcare and social care, child and leisure studies, or equivalent education
- Are certified nursing assistants (certificate must be attached to application)
- Have post-secondary specialization in disability support (minimum 60 university credits or 200 vocational education credits)
- Have experience working with persons with disabilities and knowledge of low-arousal approach and clarifying pedagogy
You should have experience working with persons with disabilities and be comfortable in your professional role, attentive, patient, and have a genuine interest in people. You need to be able to express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish.
Additional merits include a B driver's license, experience in supervision or pedagogical responsibility, and interest in development work.
