The Care and Support Administration, with approximately 1,500 employees, is one of the departments in the City of Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, disability support, and healthcare. Konditorivägen is a group home in Lindome for young adults with self-harm issues. Six residents receive individually tailored support in their daily lives. We work with low-affective approaches and other evidence-based methods to create a safe and stable environment. Our team of ten committed individuals supports each other, shares knowledge, and develops together. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a support educator, you play a key role in the organization's quality work, methods, and approaches. You are responsible for the pedagogical work and serve as a knowledge resource for the team. You act as a support and guide for the work group and also function as management support. You supervise the work group based on organizational needs and methods. You ensure that social documentation and implementation plans according to IBIC are established, further developed, and followed in accordance with laws and guidelines. The support educator's role also includes collaboration with other key personnel from our operations, and you contribute to strengthening cooperation methods. You are responsible for methodology meetings and other competence development and are comfortable leading groups. You will be offered guidance by method developers and will be part of a network with other support educators in the area. You also participate in direct work and support residents with social and practical interventions both inside and outside the residence. You provide professional support by empowering the resident in their daily life. All work is based on the resident's individually established implementation plan. Some residents have pets. Threats and violence, as well as suicide, may occur, but we have methods to manage this. We work with operation-adapted and influenceable schedules. Needs are continuously adjusted according to operational requirements, which means you need to be prepared to work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call night shifts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Has relevant post-secondary education as a support educator or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. • Knowledge and experience in psychiatry, substance abuse, suicide, and self-harm behavior. • Has experience working with people with mental disabilities. • Has good knowledge of LAB (low-affective approach), ESL (an independent life), and AKK (alternative cognitive communication). • Has knowledge of pedagogical approaches. • Has training in managing threats and violence. • Has good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written. It is meritorious if you have a driver's license, CPR training, and experience with Timecare and Treserva.
