About this role

Do you want to be part of an organization where community, participation, and meaningful days are in focus? We are seeking a support educator for Hundraårsgatan Café & Service Group and Tellusgruppen, two daily activities targeting individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. You will be primarily stationed at Hundraårsgatan, where you will work alongside support assistants and actively participate in the daily operations of the activity. Some parts of your support educator assignment will also be performed at Tellusgruppen. About the Organization At Hundraårsgatan, we operate both a café and service group. In the café, we offer coffee and sandwiches, and together with participants, we bake bread, buns, and cakes, and handle conference orders. The café is part of a meeting place for seniors, but the general public is also warmly welcome. Our service group performs practical tasks for other operations both inside the building and in the nearby area. This can involve preparing break rooms, delivering goods, watering plants, maintaining premises, or performing other service tasks as needed. Tellusgruppen has a similar orientation and assignments as the service group, which creates opportunities for collaboration and flexibility between units. Your Role as Support Educator As a support educator, you have a pedagogical and methodical responsibility for both activities. You are a pedagogical role model who guides and supports colleagues in social documentation, planning and follow-up of implementation plans, and quality assurance of work. You develop and teach pedagogical methods focusing on communication and evidence-based approaches, drive systematic quality work, and promote reflection on professional interactions. You actively work to anchor clarifying pedagogy, low-affective approaches, and alternative and complementary communication (AKK) in daily work. As a support educator, you ensure that methods are used consistently and become a natural part of the organization's working methods. You plan and lead meetings, contribute to collaboration and knowledge exchange between units, and mentor colleagues in method development and documentation. In addition to your specific areas of responsibility, you actively participate in the daily activities at Hundraårsgatan café and service group and are part of the work team. You work in close collaboration with unit managers, other educators, relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure each participant receives an individually adapted and meaningful occupation with development opportunities. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with post-secondary specialization in disability services comprising at least 200 vocational education credits, 120 university credits, or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with persons with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. For all educational paths, approved grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 are required. If this is lacking, you may be offered a language test via the Educateit test user. Furthermore, good computer skills and knowledge of social documentation are required. We seek candidates with training in the Durevall method and several years of experience working with individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. You should have good knowledge and experience working with LAB, AKK, clarifying pedagogy, IBIC, and conversation mats. It is also a requirement to have knowledge or experience working in service or restaurant environments, such as cafés, kitchens, conference services, or similar settings. It is meritorious to have experience planning, creating, and adapting group and individual activities based on participants' needs, conditions, and interests. We are seeking a driven and pedagogical person with strong work engagement and ability to inspire and create participation. You are socially confident and collaboration-oriented, enjoy interacting with others, and contribute to good teamwork where you take responsibility and make things happen.
