Support Services is the third-largest department within the Welfare Administration, with the mission of implementing decisions made under the LSS Act, primarily decisions regarding special housing services, personal assistance, and daily activities.
The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in social life, enabling individuals granted support to live like others. Our work is performed through individually tailored support of high quality and self-determination, where good treatment permeates all activities.
We are now seeking an engaged and goal-oriented support educator for the group home Vallen (Arnäsvall). The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. Work hours are scheduled during day, evening, and weekends. Welcome to submit your application!
Work Tasks
From a pedagogical approach, you will perform daily and planned support interventions and activities together with the service user. Support interventions are based on the individual's needs, promote independence, participation, and are carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination.
You are responsible for establishing and following up implementation plans with the service user, other social documentation, and administrative tasks/responsibilities such as schedules, purchase orders, health, and safety. You will also support colleagues in social documentation and implementation plans.
You will be a resource in developing and using individually adapted pedagogical solutions/methods in daily work and spreading new knowledge about pedagogical methods in the operation.
The work includes collaborating with the user's network, other staff, and partners, as well as driving development work forward with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and guidelines.
You may be asked to contribute your pedagogical competence in other LSS area operations and collaborate with other pedagogues in LSS activities.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with post-secondary specialization in disability services, such as 200 YH points (vocational college) or 60 higher education credits. The education should have a clear focus on disability services and/or behavioral science.
To work in care and support, you must be 18 years or older. It is important to professionally engage with people based on their individual conditions and needs. As a person, you are self-directed and stress-resistant, with the individual in focus. You are empathetic, responsible, and collaborate easily. You have good social skills and enjoy working flexibly. We place great importance on personal suitability.
The job requires sufficient Swedish language skills in speech and writing to communicate with service users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.
By law, all working in child-related services under 18 must present a valid police criminal record extract upon employment. You can order this extract from the police.
Driver's license B is required for the position.
