Position Located Within Social Administration The position is based in the Social Administration, one of eight administrative departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for legal authority, service procurement, and in-house operations within individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. Your Responsibilities As a Support Educator at Kärnhuset, your task is to support employees in daily work through a pedagogical approach and low-affective interaction. Your responsibility is to maintain a holistic view and adapt work tasks according to each individual's abilities and interests. The pedagogical work is characterized by strengthening individual participation and independence to the greatest extent possible. As a Support Educator, you will drive and quality-assure daily pedagogical work towards established operational goals. You will move processes forward and generate engaging ideas that contribute to improvement. You will also be proactive in developing the organization's pedagogical methods and supporting documentation and implementation plan work by motivating and supporting colleagues and contributing to reflection. Your Workplace Daily Activity Center Kärnhuset is located in Malmslätt. Kärnhuset focuses on various forms of sensory stimulation, occurring both indoors and outdoors. We offer activities such as tactile stimulation, music activities, walks, excursions, and physical movement. Due to organizational changes, staff is being recruited for the Kärnhuset daily activity center, creating an opportunity to collaboratively shape the operation with colleagues and management based on participants' interests. Participants require significant staff support and use medical-technical aids. The work group will consist of 1 Support Educator and 3 Support Assistants. You will work daytime hours, Monday through Friday. Candidate Profile We seek candidates with an approved Higher Vocational Education (YH) Support Educator qualification (200 YH credits) or an equivalent education we assess as comparable. You have experience working in care, support, and social services, and experience working with individuals with various functional variations and disabilities. Previous experience in daily activity centers is considered meritorious. We work with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), Sign Support (TSS), pedagogical approaches, and low-affective interaction, so knowledge in these areas is considered meritorious. The work involves extensive contact and documentation, requiring fluent Swedish communication and documentation in digital systems. Experience in creating implementation plans is also meritorious. Personally, you are self-driven, take responsibility for tasks, and proactively advance your work. You collaborate well with others, listen, and communicate clearly. You are flexible and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. It is crucial that you have empathetic abilities, can understand others' perspectives and situations, comprehend how people learn under different conditions, and have genuine interest in pedagogical work and development/improvement efforts.
