About the Job We are now seeking a Support Educator for Bmss Kaverös Äng 3 and Tuppfjätsgatan 15. At our unit, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals whose primary diagnosis is autism, and you will also have the chance to work with individuals with rarer diagnoses, which will provide you with opportunities for continued development as a support educator. As a support educator, you will have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work in the operation. You will establish working methods and approaches, follow up and develop them to ensure they are used effectively in daily work. You will support and guide the work group, mentor employees in methodological work, and actively contribute to the operation's quality development and systematic improvement efforts. The role includes, among other things: • Supporting and guiding colleagues in creating and following up implementation plans and social documentation. • Working with method development, specifically focused on AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), clarifying pedagogy, and low-affective approach (LAB). • Contributing to a safe and structured environment for users, with a focus on independence and participation. You will also be part of a network with other educators and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key individuals to ensure tenants receive good care, support, and service. Work hours are scheduled for day/evening and every other weekend. About You For the support educator position, a post-secondary specialization in disability services is required, comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits with two years of work experience with individuals with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Communication is a crucial part of the work, which requires passing Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. Those who do not meet the Swedish language qualifications may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit. You need to have work experience working with individuals with autism and knowledge and work experience with AAC, clarifying pedagogy, and low-affective approach (LAB). Experience in group mentoring is a requirement. We are looking for someone who is calm and confident in pressured and difficult situations. You can adapt your work when things change. You take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect.
