The Role of Support Educator with Us
As a support educator, you will help create a predictable, manageable, and comprehensible environment for our tenants.
You will work to establish conditions for participation and engagement based on the individual needs of the tenants. You will maintain a professional demeanor and have experience in social psychiatry and comorbidity. Your responsibilities will also include being a role model and supporting colleagues in their role as contact staff, guiding colleagues in methods and interactions, assisting with social documentation and IBIC, serving as a role model in pedagogical work, and identifying and addressing the unit's needs in development and improvement efforts to enhance the quality of support for the tenants.
The job requires you to be structured and capable of organizing and planning your work based on the needs of the operation. Currently, there is one support educator in the unit, so you will share the responsibility with another colleague.
Your Profile
You are flexible in your work and maintain composure in stressful situations. As a person, you are curious about others and driven by development. You have a positive outlook and find it easy to work both independently and in a team. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily tasks. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Education as a support educator, social educator, social worker, or other post-secondary education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Experience working with a similar target group
- Familiarity with documentation and writing as well as following up on implementation plans
It is advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge in care and support coordination
- Knowledge of MI – Motivational Interviewing

We have eight apartments. The building is townhouse-style and is located in a rural area seven kilometers outside Kungsbacka, near Anneberg train station. Our services are aimed at adults with psychiatric disabilities who require support measures according to the Act on Special Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) or the Social Services Act (SoL). The unit is part of the Individual and Family Care administration.

Our Offer and Additional Information
We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon.
The work is carried out in the tenant's home, where tobacco smoke may be present. Substance abuse may also occur. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. The length of work shifts varies.
Within the Individual & Family Care administration, all employees in Housing with Special Service and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the option to reduce their working hours based on the needs of the operation.
