Your new job
You will work closely with citizens in their daily lives to support and promote independent living.
Your tasks will include personal care, lifting, medication management, as well as social support, creating structure, motivation, activities, and household chores - always with the citizen's participation in focus. This includes social documentation, implementation plans, and case management. There may be challenging or outwardly aggressive behavior, and you will work according to a pedagogical approach and low-arousal responses. Collaboration will occur with relatives, legal representatives, colleagues, supervisors, and other professionals such as healthcare, employment services, and authorities. Other tasks may arise and vary over time.
As a Support Educator, you will also be responsible for supporting, guiding, and developing the workgroup within the educational framework. You will plan, follow up, and develop the work with your colleagues and provide support with work plans, documentation, and implementation plans. Together, you will identify and create conditions for individual development and motivation for each person.
Your qualifications
- We are looking for someone who is a qualified support educator: requires post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities with a pedagogical focus, encompassing at least 200 YH credits or 60 ECTS. Examples of YH programs in the field include Support Educator, Activation Pedagogue, Social Pedagogue, and Treatment Pedagogue.
- We are also seeking support assistants: requires a completed upper secondary program in child and leisure with a focus on social/pedagogical work or healthcare and social services with a specialization in disabilities/psychiatry.
- Alternatively, you have other education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Experience in educational work or other areas within the disability field and care work is considered an asset.
- It is desirable that you have worked with intellectual disabilities and autism, as well as TAKK (sign language for communication), visual support, and low-arousal responses.
- You have good computer skills, and it is a plus if you have experience with documentation, preferably in the operational system Combine.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension is required for handling documentation, information gathering, and communication.
- A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

Welcome to us
Group Home Kyrkebäcksvägen is an LSS residence for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The residence is divided into two floors, and your base placement will be on one floor, but support may be provided on the other floor as needed. A total of 12 young citizens live here, and the entire staff consists of approximately 22 employees divided into two groups. Kyrkebäcksvägen is located in a scenic area in Fagerslätt, Huskvarna, next to a large green area with livestock and sports trails. We have a lovely outdoor area with a trampoline, space for a pool, and opportunities for grilling and growing fruits and vegetables.
