About this role

We are seeking an engaged and innovative support educator who wants to contribute to high-quality support for individuals with disabilities. Together, we create a safe and meaningful everyday life – with a focus on equal value for all. Your Mission As a support educator with us, you will work diversely with service users and colleagues. Together with your colleagues, you will develop structure, communication, and pedagogical processes around the service users. You are part of a team of support assistants and support aides. You perform the same work tasks as support assistants and support aides, and in addition, you provide support to your colleagues. You actively contribute to strengthening them in their work, for example, in documentation, innovation, and pedagogical methods. Designing and implementing action plans, risk analyses, and training initiatives are part of your work. Your responsibilities also include providing support to the service user in daily life with service interventions, such as personal care, leisure activities, and household tasks, including cooking. You work actively to ensure that the service user feels safe in their home and has influence over their daily life. Scheduled working hours, day, evening, on-call, weekend. Your Experience • Trained support educator or equivalent pedagogical education, such as post-secondary education of 200 YH or 60 HP in disability/behavioral science. • Experience of actively working in support education or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer. • Good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and pedagogical methods. • Computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing, are absolute requirements as the work involves ensuring documentation. Meritorious are: • Knowledge of low-affective approach • Experience working with welfare technology and quality assurance. • Knowledge and experience of AAC. • Experience from psychiatry or social psychiatry. • Experience working with mental health for service users in disability services. About the Workplace In this LSS housing for adults, residents live with disabilities/neuropsychiatric disabilities such as mental health issues and autism. Challenging behaviors may occur. Staff work with user-centered care as well as simpler support in service users' daily lives.
