The social psychiatry area offers support to individuals with mental disabilities, and our daily activities are the heart of this work. We are now seeking a Support Pedagogue for Järfälla Daily Activities – a service distributed across two different locations. Our service users have various diagnoses and mental health challenges, such as autism, psychotic disorders, self-harm behavior, social phobia, and experiences of hallucinations, etc. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference – with courage, commitment, and flexibility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Support Pedagogue with us, you will play a crucial role in supporting our service users in their daily lives. The work is conducted across both units. You will work closely with individuals, helping to create structure, motivation, and development based on each person's unique conditions. You will also provide pedagogical support to your colleagues and serve as a role model guiding work in social documentation and implementation plans. You will collaborate with management and other Support Pedagogues in disability service providers, alongside activity pedagogues.
The work requires great flexibility, as there are many different tasks in the units and changes in daily operations occur frequently.
With the new Social Services Act, several change processes will be implemented, so job responsibilities may change over time.
We are seeking someone who is clear, confident, social, able to set boundaries, and has a warm approach and genuine interest in people.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a Support Pedagogue education or equivalent
- Has several years of professional experience
- Has documented experience working in social psychiatry
- Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Has experience working with the target group
- Holds a B driver's license
Advantageous if you:
- Have training in MI or ESL and MHFA
