The mission of the Welfare Administration is to assist individuals who, due to age, disabilities, financial issues, or family problems, require various forms of support and help. The Welfare Administration consists of the municipal primary care unit and three departments: care and support, assistance, and IFO (individual and family care). The care and support department includes units within elderly care and home care. The support department encompasses LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The IFO department consists of social services, the labor market unit, social psychiatry, and the assistance unit. Municipal primary care includes rehabilitation and home healthcare.

Centrumvägen 8 is a service residence according to LSS, catering to individuals with functional variations. As a support pedagogue with us, you will work in a team that includes an activity pedagogue, support pedagogue, and support assistants. We focus on the individual's needs and the operation is based on respect for self-determination, participation, and influence. Job Description
The primary tasks involve supporting individuals with various disabilities. As a support pedagogue, you will participate in the user-centered daily work but will also play a central role in the pedagogical development of the operation, both at the individual and group levels. Together with the work team, you will establish, implement, and follow up on implementation plans and routine descriptions. As a support pedagogue, you will guide and ensure that documentation is carried out according to applicable regulations. You will be responsible for seeking new pedagogical knowledge, serving as a role model in pedagogical work, and maintaining a reflective approach.
In collaboration with the unit manager and activity pedagogue, you will develop working methods and, if necessary, lead certain pedagogical meetings with the work group. You will also support your colleagues in planning and implementing activities together with users. As part of your work, you will collaborate with other stakeholders such as licensed personnel, guardians, and relatives. The position includes delegated tasks from licensed healthcare professionals, such as medication management.
We are looking for someone who
- has post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities (at least 200 KY credits or equivalent to 60 university credits) or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- has the ability to understand and address the various support needs of users and how this affects daily living.
- is comfortable working under delegation from licensed healthcare professionals.
- can express themselves well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as documentation and the establishment of implementation plans are part of the job.
- previous experience as a support pedagogue is an advantage, as is experience with IBIC, AAC, and low-arousal approaches.
