About this role

About the Position Åsbo HVB AB is now seeking a reliable and committed support person for a girl in our support housing in Örkelljunga. The assignment involves being available as support in daily life – for example during evenings or shorter daytime shifts, to create safety, structure, and continuity. Working hours are flexible and suit those who want to work on an hourly basis, perhaps alongside another job or as a retiree. It is a significant advantage if you live in Örkelljunga or the surrounding area, as shifts can sometimes be short and needs may arise with little notice. Requirements: at least two years of post-secondary education, such as social pedagogue, support pedagogue, or equivalent education in social work. We are seeking someone with a warm heart, stable personality, and good ability to create security and build relationships with young people. About the Workplace Our support housing is located in Örkelljunga, northwestern Skåne. We welcome girls aged 15-21 who are placed according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Special Provisions on Care of Young People Act (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individual care for girls who need a smaller context and more comprehensive support. In collaboration with social services, we can tailor the approach to the specific youth. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods where Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) play a central role. Your Role As a support housing assistant, you will work individually with the youth to provide daily support and care. The goal is to establish a secure relationship where the youth wants and dares to receive the offered support. You will be part of a team that collaboratively plans work around the youth, and our vision is that despite working alone, you will not feel isolated. Tasks include practical activities such as support with ADL, cooking, cleaning, medication management, community contacts, and transportation. A key aspect is motivating the youth to develop their unique strengths/characteristics and build competence. You will also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and an ability to inspire. The work includes documentation. Qualifications To qualify for the position, a minimum of two years of post-secondary education in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science is required. Experience with the target group is meritorious, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and understanding of Neuropsychiatric Functional Disorders (NPF). We expect you to be warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's capacity for change. Furthermore, you should be patient, confident, and able to handle conflicts constructively while maintaining calm in stressful situations. Computer skills and documentation experience are important, which means you should have good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Additional Information Start date by agreement. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Irregular working hours, mostly shorter interventions distributed across weekdays and weekends. Mostly evening shifts. Based on the target group and its needs, we welcome only female applicants for the position. We will request an extract from the police suspicion and criminal record register before employment. A B driver's license is required. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, so do not wait to submit your documents.
