Job Responsibilities
We care for children with various functional variations. Our child care facility is growing, and we need new colleagues to join our existing, exceptional work team. We are also seeking staff for our short-term care facility.
As a Support Assistant, your tasks include providing compassionate care and support to children in our child care facility within a home-like environment, collaborating closely with guardians, colleagues, schools, habilitation services, home healthcare, and other internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves managing medications, various assistive devices such as breathing and mobility aids. Performing light rehabilitation exercises is also part of daily work. Your task is to contribute to achieving the LSS plan goals of self-determination, participation, and integrity for each individual user. You will provide day-to-day and planned support interventions based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS. This includes creating implementation plans, documentation, and using evidence-based methods. You will help create a meaningful and secure daily life, with activities shaped around children's specific strengths, interests, and needs. Our goal is to offer the best care and support in a safe environment, focusing on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and IBIC. You will work with colleagues to provide support that strengthens the individual's confidence in their abilities.
Qualifications
As a Support Assistant, you must have education at the equivalent of high school level, with a focus on care and competence in healthcare and social care, or alternative education directed towards LSS services that the employer deems equivalent. You should have experience and a strong interest in working with children requiring medical care.
Additional Competencies: Previous experience working with children with various functional variations and delegated tasks is advantageous. You should be confident, responsible, and stable, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Position Details: 75-100% employment. We are seeking both permanent and temporary staff for daytime shifts. Permanent positions include a 6-month probationary period.
