Position is located within the Social Administration, which is one of eight administrative departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for official duties, service procurement, and in-house operations within individual and family care, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Together with your colleagues, you are a crucial part of creating a meaningful everyday life for our clients. Working as a support assistant means supporting each individual towards independence. Your tasks involve providing support in personal care, daily life, health and functional ability, relationships, and creating participation. The profession of support assistant is about contributing to the release and development of clients' own resources. Work includes all tasks typically found in a home environment, habilitation, medication management, documentation, and more. We work based on IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) and document in the Treserva system. The role also involves maintaining close contact with relatives and other collaborative partners. Your Workplace We are now seeking three new colleagues to join our wonderful team at Skattegården. These are permanent positions with a 75% employment rate. Your working hours will be distributed across day, evening, weekend, and overnight on-call shifts. Skattegården is a short-term care facility located in the Skäggetorp district. The facility offers respite care for parents and children aged 0-16 years. The duration of a child's stay is determined by administrators at the Social Administration. The service is directed at children and youth with intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, and autism. Children at the facility have their own rooms, with shared kitchen, living room/playroom. We strive to create a home-like, child-friendly, and child-safe environment where children feel calm, secure, and have fun. We adapt our activities based on the children present. We frequently use pictures and sign language to make life clear and comprehensible for our children and youth. In collaboration with parents, we develop and continuously update an implementation plan for each child. Additional parent contact occurs regularly based on wishes and needs. We also maintain some contact with the child's school/preschool and habilitation services. Candidate Profile We seek candidates who have completed a healthcare and care program, child and leisure program, or equivalent education with experience in support, care, and assistance. Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual, physical, or mental functional variations and/or autism spectrum disorders is considered advantageous. Experience with journaling and working with IBIC is also meriting. Knowledge of alternative complementary communication is desirable. The work involves extensive contact and documentation, thus requiring fluent verbal and written Swedish communication and ability to document in digital systems. You should be self-motivated, take responsibility for tasks, and drive your work forward. You work well with others, listen and communicate clearly, and can adapt your communication style. It is also important to have empathy and the ability to understand others' perspectives and situations.
