**Job Description**
**Tasks**
We are currently seeking support assistants for Hallegatan's BmSS and Åbogården's BmSS in central Hisingen!
We are looking for staff for two group homes specializing in elderly psychiatry and comorbidity, located in the same building with close collaboration between the units.
You will be employed at one of the facilities and work based on each tenant's individual implementation plan. The role involves providing support, motivation, and care in daily life – for example, creating structure in everyday activities, maintaining routines, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and assisting with personal hygiene. You will also perform medical interventions under the delegation of a nurse or rehabilitation staff, as well as support tenants in meaningful activities and leisure.
The assignment includes participating in the establishment and follow-up of implementation plans to ensure the quality of services provided. Together with your colleagues, you will create a safe, stimulating, and homelike environment for the tenants. The work may involve some exposure to passive smoking and pets.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for candidates who have a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 vocational training points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other training that the employer deems equivalent.
Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement; you need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider Educateit.
Experience working with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), LAB (low-arousal approach), and clear pedagogical methods is an advantage. Other valuable experiences include knowledge of acquired brain injuries, challenging behavior, and good computer skills.
You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you strive to present solutions. You are capable of working collaboratively with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and fostering understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work environment.
